At Global Catalyst, we believe girls have the power to create lasting change in their communities and beyond. Girls have bright ideas, bold visions, and the determination to not just overcome extraordinary challenges, but to confront the very systems that create them — paving a brighter path for every girl who follows.
Through our signature program, GLOW Club, girls across more than 30 countries are developing the social and emotional skills to understand their rights, find and use their voices, and take practical steps towards challenging harmful norms in their homes and communities. By speaking out against the issues that shape their lives — issues like child marriage, inequitable domestic responsibilities, and lack of educational opportunities — GLOW Club members are reshaping ideas about what girls can accomplish, and what role they can play in their community’s development.
Our Advocacy programs build upon the strong foundation girls develop in GLOW Club. One of our key initiatives — the Girl Advocacy Committee — brings together youth leaders from GLOW Clubs around the world for a 9-month virtual program that provides additional advocacy training and dedicated funding to turn their ideas into real-world projects with incredible potential for igniting change at the grassroots level.
The program is guided by five words — Issue, Right, Fair, Power, and Advocacy — and equips girls to identify the issue most important to them and develop an innovative solution to addressing it.
They also build strong, lasting connections with their peers from around the world, learning about each other’s cultures and communities while discovering the commonalities that unite them in their pursuit of shared progress.

“A major change I want to bring about is breaking the silence and lack of information surrounding menstrual hygiene in our communities. Over the next nine months, these incredible youth leaders will be guided through the four phases of our Girl-Led Advocacy Cycle — Dream. Plan. Do. Review. — and develop meaningful community impact projects that will have a lasting impact on their families, communities, and generations of girls to come.
